Week 6 of the ATTC Summer League delivered a strong night of competition, several hard-fought three-game matches, and another statement performance at the top of the field.
The headline belonged to Rocky Lee, who completed a perfect 4–0 night without dropping a game. Rocky opened with an 11–9, 11–1 victory over Cliff Breazeale before defeating Jonathan Sears in straight games. His biggest test came against Kendall Swartzentruber in Round 3, but Rocky claimed both games by identical 11–9 scores. He then closed the night with an 11–7, 11–6 win over Jonathan Bauman to finish as Week 6’s only undefeated player.
Kendall Swartzentruber remained one of the night’s strongest performers, finishing 3–1. Kendall began with a straight-games victory over Arlan Riehl and followed it with another convincing win over Morris Beiler. After falling to Rocky in the battle of unbeaten players, Kendall responded with an 12–10, 11–7 victory over Durrel Willey in the final round.
Morris Beiler also put together a 3–1 evening. Morris defeated Jonas Lawson in the opening round before losing to Kendall. He quickly bounced back with a straight-games win over Durrel and then finished the night with an impressive comeback against Jonathan Sears. After dropping the first game 7–11, Morris took the next two games 11–6 and 11–3.
Four players finished in the crowded middle of the field at 2–2.
Jonathan Sears opened the night with a three-game victory over Jonathan Bauman, recovering from an opening-game loss to win the next two. He later defeated Arlan Riehl in one of the night’s closest matches, taking the games 12–10 and 15–13. Losses to Rocky and Morris left Jonathan with an even record.
Jonathan Bauman also finished 2–2 and was involved in two of the evening’s best comebacks. Against Durrel Willey, Bauman lost the opening game 5–11 before taking the next two 13–11 and 11–6. He followed that by rallying past Cliff Breazeale after dropping the first game 10–12, winning the final two 11–6 and 11–8.
Cliff Breazeale rebounded well after beginning the night with losses to Rocky and Bauman. Cliff defeated Jonas Lawson 11–6, 11–6 and closed the evening with an 11–8, 11–6 victory over Josh Riehl to earn a 2–2 finish.
Arlan Riehl completed the group of 2–2 players. After losses to Kendall and Jonathan Sears, Arlan earned straight-games victories over Josh Riehl and Jonas Lawson. His two wins gave him a solid recovery and an even record for the night.
Durrel Willey finished 1–3, but his record did not reflect how competitive several of his matches were. Durrel opened with a convincing victory over Josh Riehl and pushed Jonathan Bauman to three games before falling. He also battled Kendall to an 12–10 opening game in their final-round matchup.
Jonas Lawson went 1–3, earning his victory with an 11–5, 11–6 win over Josh Riehl in Round 3. Josh Riehl finished 0–4 against a challenging group of opponents.
Rocky’s perfect performance separated him from the pack, but Week 6 also showed how tight the competition has become behind him. Kendall and Morris each went 3–1, while Jonathan Sears, Jonathan Bauman, Cliff Breazeale, and Arlan Riehl all finished 2–2.
With several players separated by only a match or two, every remaining round will matter as the ATTC Summer League heads toward the finish.
