Season 3 of the ATTC Summer League came to a close with one final night of intense competition—and the best season in club history received a fitting finish.
A record 19 players competed during the eight-night season, while a growing number of family members and friends filled the room to watch the action. Several positions on the leaderboard were still undecided entering Week 8, giving the finale the atmosphere of a playoff night.
The final session featured 10 players, 20 matches, 46 games and 802 total points. Fourteen matches ended in straight games, while six required a deciding third game.
Morris Finishes Perfect
While Rocky Lee entered the night in control of the championship, Morris Beiler delivered the performance of the finale.
Morris went a perfect 4–0 with an 8–1 game record, opening with straight-game victories over Ben Little and Durrel Willey. His toughest test came against Jonathan Sears, who took the opening game 11–5. Morris responded by winning the next two, 11–5 and 11–8.
That set up a final-round meeting with Kendall Swartzentruber. Morris survived a tight 12–10 opening game before closing the match 11–5, completing the only undefeated performance of Week 8.
The perfect night added a week-high 33 points to Morris’ Power Rating and secured second place in the season standings.
Kendall Hands Rocky His Second Loss
The biggest result of the night came in Round 3 when Kendall Swartzentruber defeated Rocky Lee 11–5, 11–6.
It was only Rocky’s second loss during the entire season and briefly opened the door for Kendall to challenge Morris for second place. Kendall finished Week 8 with a strong 3–1 record and a 6–2 game mark, also defeating Cliff Breazeale and Jonathan Sears in straight games.
Morris ended Kendall’s perfect-night bid in the final round, but Kendall’s performance added 16 rating points and moved him to second in the final Power Rankings at 1611—just six points ahead of Morris.
Rocky quickly answered his loss by defeating Durrel Willey 11–4, 11–2 in the final round. He completed the night 3–1 and finished an extraordinary championship season with a 30–2 overall record.
Ben Produces a Breakout Finale
Ben Little also closed the season on a high note, finishing 3–1 and gaining 14 rating points.
After falling to Morris in Round 1, Ben won three consecutive matches. He defeated Jonas Lawson in three games, swept Eric Hudgens and then survived Cliff Breazeale 11–7, 9–11, 11–9 in one of the closest matches of the final round.
Ben finished Week 8 with a 6–4 game record and ended the season at an even 8–8 in the Power Rankings.
Jonathan Sears and Durrel Willey each finished the night 2–2. Jonathan closed with a comeback victory over Nate Wilson, recovering from an 11–3 opening-game loss to win the next two games 11–6 and 11–5.
Durrel’s highlight was a dramatic three-game victory over Nate. After splitting the first two games, Durrel claimed the deciding game 13–11.
Nate Wilson, Cliff Breazeale and Jonas Lawson each earned one victory. Jonas ended his season with a straight-game win over Eric Hudgens in the final round.
Rocky Completes a Dominant Championship Season
Rocky’s championship numbers reflected just how dominant his season was.
Under the league’s best-five-of-eight-nights format, Rocky finished with a perfect 20–0 counted record, 40 game wins and a maximum score of 40.0 points. His +194 point differential was also the best in the league.
Across every match played, Rocky went 30–2 and finished first in the Power Rankings with a rating of 1691, a full 80 points ahead of the field.
Morris secured second place in the league standings with 32.5 points, finishing one point ahead of Kendall at 31.5. Kendall took third place in the standings but edged Morris for second in the Power Rankings, 1611 to 1605.
Jonathan completed the top four with 29.5 standings points and a 1551 Power Rating. He finished the full season with a 19–13 record.
The races remained close farther down the leaderboard. Cory Wilson held fifth place by just one point over Durrel. Nate finished 1.5 points ahead of Cliff for seventh, while Cliff edged Jonathan Bauman by one point for eighth. Bauman then finished one point ahead of Ben, and Eric Hudgens held 12th place by only half a point over Jonas.
Final Power-Ranking Leaders
Rocky finished as the clear No. 1 at 1691, followed by Kendall at 1611, Morris at 1605 and Jonathan at 1551.
Justin Gingerich’s 1522 rating remained provisional after one night of play, making Cory Wilson—rated 1517—the highest-ranked official player outside the top four.
The largest Week 8 rating gains belonged to Morris at +33, Kendall at +16 and Ben at +14.
A Season to Remember
By the time the final point was played, Season 3 had produced 168 matches across eight league nights. There were dominant performances, unexpected upsets, deciding-game thrillers and leaderboard races that remained unsettled until the final rounds.
The numbers tell only part of the story.
More players participated than ever before. More family members and friends came to watch. The room felt increasingly like a true sporting event each week, with players and spectators following the standings, Power Rankings and weekly matchups.
Rocky leaves Season 3 as a deserving champion, but the entire club leaves the season stronger than it began.
Season 3 set a new standard for ATTC—and after the competition and atmosphere surrounding the finale, Season 4 already has plenty to live up to.
